Epstein Techniques

Network Spinal Analysis (NSA)

Network Spinal Analysis, developed by Dr. Donald Epstein, is an evidence-based approach to wellness and body awareness. Practitioners use precise, light touches to the spine to cue the brain to create new wellness-promoting strategies. Two unique healing waves are associated with this work — they are associated with spontaneous release of spinal and life tensions, and the use of existing tension as fuel for spinal reorganization and enhanced wellness.

NSA is practiced in levels, each building upon the previous. As individuals progress through the levels, they develop greater body awareness, more effective strategies for dealing with stress, and an enhanced capacity for healing and growth. Dr. Flick holds the highest level of certification available in Network Spinal Analysis.

Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI)

Somato Respiratory Integration, also developed by Dr. Donald Epstein, is a program designed to help individuals develop greater awareness of their body and its relationship to their life experience. Through focused attention, breath, movement, and touch, SRI exercises help individuals connect with their body's rhythms and release deeply held tension patterns.

SRI consists of twelve stages, each corresponding to a different state of consciousness and a different relationship between the body, breath, and life experience. Practicing SRI exercises helps individuals move through these stages, developing greater resourcefulness, flexibility, and capacity for wellbeing.
